Dry Skin? Drink up!

The most important thing an individual can do to prevent dry skin is to drink a lot of water.
Water loosens up the lipid fat molecules in the epidermis portion of the skin.
If these lipid molecules become rigid, the skin is more susceptible to dryness.
Drink several glasses of water a day to keep those lipid molecules floating around and flexible.

Pain in the Back

There are a whole variety of exercises that can be done to strengthen your back
and stretch out the muscles in the back. Start by lying on the floor.
If your head is not comfortable, get a very flat pillow. Lie on your back with both
knees bent and the soles of your feet flat on the floor.Get comfortable. Then bring
one knee to your chest and hold it for 30 seconds. Lower it slowly and then repeat this
with the opposite leg. Repeat at least three times.

Prevention Medicine from the Heart

It is far better to prevent heart attacks then to depend on treatment once they've occurred.
So, if you do smoke, quit! Start a prudent heart diet, which includes plenty off fruits
and vegetables, grain products, low-fat dairy products, chicken and fish.
Avoid any foods that are high in saturated fats or cholesterol. Stay away from processed foods
and from cheese, which is extremely high in fat.
Be sure to take your medications as prescribed if you have heart disease.

Brain Workout

As we get older, many of us have some difficulty in remembering names.
This benign memory loss, while embarrassing at times, is not a sign of imminent doom.
It is simply a sign of aging. Fortunately for all of us, we have many ways of sharpening
our mental faculties. Brain exercise is an important exercise that we tend to forget.
We all need to use our minds as much as possible by reading and thinking and
concentrating. Some form of brain stimulation should be done every day,
whether it is doing a crossword puzzle, playing a computer game or playing scrabble.
